Tales spun and woven
With intricate detail
To the delight of a
Child’s ear.
Each character
given a name,
A history,
a place in
time.
Each story told
With a purpose,
A lesson, for a
bright-eyed child.
Each story gives way to
An escape from what is
To what could be.
The gift of which is not
Lost to the child for in
His dreams he dreams
Of the storyteller’s tales
And his spirit soars.
