The voices of fear jangles,
rattling her fortress of peace
causing splinters in the shield of hope
that surrounds it,
sprouting weeds were roses once grew,
piercing her visions of love,
but she steadily holds onto the holy images
of peace, love, and joy
and soon her fears are abated.
