Home

There are places in my heart
     not yet known,
Places  not yet ventured
  for fear of what will be found,
Places that have been abandoned
  for quite some time now,
Places I have gone to
 time and time again.

Yearning to know all of my heart,
Yearning for the quiet amidst the storm,
Yearning for the time
I am able to say with conviction
"I am home."

Location: The Carter Center, Atlanta, Ga. Date: Nov. 2009.  Went for a walk along the grounds of the Carter Center to see all the fall colors. It was a great little retreat from the noise of the city. Took this photo as I walked by the memorial lake.
