of dreams and dragons

in the light
of the night sky

she dreams
of things unwanted,
tosses and turns,
and wishes for
a night well-rested.

-then sudenly
in her night's plight
her dragon tattoo
 comes into being.
her dream world changes
 as the dragon fights off the
unwanted and cruel visions
of nights gone by and
the dreams she longed for
come to life.
the dreams continue
until she wakes.
life begins once again.
