Grateful

Life in all its glory

Its trials, its challenges,

Its joys, and its triumphs-

All come to me in a collage of memories.

I give thanks to all the people in my life,

Whether they attributed to my joy, or

Caused me heartache for they all came

With a lesson to teach me.

I am thankful for the lessons they brought.

I am thankful for the lessons learned.

Am grateful for the memories

 for they remind me

Of who I used to be,

of how far I’ve traveled

To be the person that I am and

How far I have yet to go.
