baby birds
turning in the wind,
afraid of our planet's gravity,
cry out to those below
striding along the boardwalk,
as they continue to fly .
With courage,
fear leaves them.
Their flock rejoices,
as they continue to fly.
flying,
sailing across the sky
against horizon's door,
above the town by
ocean's gate,
where fallen stars light the night sky,
dogs wag their tails,
camp fires burn at twilight,
and birds leave trails of hope
as they continue to fly,
sailing across the sky.
