Views from a Boat

the waves  I tread
on this boat
 are smooth,
the water -clear.
the sun -bright.

the earth's beauty is all around me.
a bird tending to her young,
squirrels playfully chasing each other down a tree,
the foliage- a bright colorful hue,
fish dancing to a tune all their own beneath me.

On this boat,
I escape from city crowds
to listen to the earth's sweet harmony
and see its beautiful symphony
brought to life.
